How to Achieve Financial Peace in Times of Economic Crisis

Knowing the rules may help you fend off economic crisis, simply because you know how to get through the difficult times. There’s never an easy way to manage through a crisis, it’s always tough, but some simple basic rules will help you step through with minimal suffering.

1.       Save 10% of everything you make.

2.       Give 10% of everything you make.

3.       Always pay cash. If you don’t have money to buy it, ask yourself if you really NEED it. If not, stop looking for ways to get it and move on.

4.       Invest in yourself. This is more than money; give yourself good solid resourceful foundations to build upon by getting a good education, staying healthy and forming good solid relationships.

5.       Build a solid network of solid friendships, people you can rely on who will also rely on you. These should be also working relationships where you can count on their efforts to sustain you through difficult times, knowing you’ll return the favor.

6.       Live frugally. You don’t have to spend money to have a good time. Find cost free ways to entertain yourself and your family.

7.       Be prepared with a back up plan for catastrophes and use it when necessary, but don’t rely on it for every little thing that goes wrong.  

8.       Be self reliant and find good resources for your needs. Always have sources for frugal solutions ready and at hand for expected crisis, you’ll be better off in a real crisis if your back is covered.

9.       Increase your stamina and crisis awareness by living on what’s in the pantry occasionally. Empty out the older canned goods and replace them with fresh stock.

10.   When all else fails, take time to breathe and brainstorm a solution that works well for your family and business. Sometimes financial peace is simply stepping back and looking at the good side of your day.

Have you ever noticed the new ’style’ these days? It isn’t very appropriate for the office, and if you’re over 32 with eyes of blue you probably aren’t impressed by the latest HIP styles. They look rediculous!

Now that I’ve pissed off every kid on the block, I want to get to the point.

I work in an industry where you don’t see the marketers on a daily basis, they call you on the phone. However, I’ve noticed a difference between the marketers who come into the office dressed for the office and those who come in dressed for the skate park. Those who come in wearing business casual attire fitting for office wear, make more money. They sell more, they accomplish more during the day, and they get more done than the boys and girls who come in looking like they were going out to play for the day. When they go home from work for the day, the ones who came dressed for success have been resourceful, sure footed, confident and goal oriented at getting the job done.

 The others? Well, they spent the day pulling up their pants, pulling down their shirts, and worrying about how to get their jobs done. The differences show up again on pay day. Those who aren’t ready to work get slacker paychecks that won’t buy them the success they wanted.

Those who are ready for work, not only earn more, they manage their money better, they enjoy their jobs, and they move up the ladder faster to management positions where they have even more money to manage better. Build a marketing list.

That’s it. The secret in a nutshell is to build a marketing list.

 No matter what else you do on the Internet, if you don’t have a qualified buying list to market to, you dont’ have much going on in your world. The reason? If you don’t have a list, you can’t notify your readers when you spring a new product launch. You can’t share the most significant thing in your life. You can’t tell your readers about the biggest new craze since yoyos and hoola hoops, and you can’t share the value of today.

So, what do you do with a list? You give them value. You provide purpose and reason, you give them your knowledge and understanding of what business is all about. That is YOUR business. Whether you give the information away or sell it, the purpose is to share what you know with them. Their purpose for being there is to learn more about how you can help them. They won’t leave, they want you to help them more. Those who do, lack purpose for staying. Let them go. Send them with your blessing and welcome those who stay with a gift of More knowledge about your business and how you can help them succeed.
