I’ve been referred to as a genius. My sister calls me a dictionary. My mother used to quote my spelling results. But, honestly, my expertise in marketing is due to a spelling error.

After a particularly long and stressful day, I was asked to search for a website for a friend of mine. I was still unwinding from the stress and typed into the search engine the site she requested. I got an error message, no site by that name. So, I looked it up on my favorite domain registry and sure enough, that name was available. She bought it.

We got off the phone and I was busy searching for another domain name I’d been trying to locate, and second listing, it’s available. Mind you, this particular word has been a long time problem for me. I know how it is spelled, but I still spell it wrong. So, I checked the link again, and sure enough – it’s STILL available. I bought it. Still gasping in delight from my good fortune, I looked at the domain again and pulled up spell checker. DANG! Sure enough, I’d misspelled the word.

So, thinking I’d really goofed, I searched the title I had just purchased. There were more than 800,000 other people searching for the same misspelled word, and I owned the web domain. YAY! It could work.

I glanced through the domains and there were several using the same misspelled word. So, I searched with the correct spelling. MANY more with the correct spelling appeared. I knew I had a winner. Because that word is often misspelled using my spelling.

Use Misspelled Words Creatively

Titles and sub-titles often make great places to use those misspelled words that will make you cash money. Try using popularly misspelled words to redirect the audience to your website with searchable misspellings. Corner Kitchen might have 43,000,000 searches, but Korner Kitchen has 261,000 searches, and you’re more likely to be noticed with a misspelled Korner. You could easily optimize BOTH for your website, if you feel the need to do so. However, the misspelled word will more likely grab the most attention.

Emphasize Misspelled Words

Kountry Korner Kitchen could have some interesting connotations, if the KKK’s are emphasized in the wrong way, but consider writing them with cooking utensils? Be creative and have some fun getting the attention of your reader using misspelled words.

There’s no need to wonder off into the cyber dust of the informatio highway without detailed steps to profit. Just follow these steps.

1 – Build a basic website with a list form available for your readers to sign into, so you can contact them with your ideas and send them a FREE gift for giving you their name. They get something of value and you get their name and email. How hard is that?

2 – Write Articles that direct traffic to your website. These articles should be relevant to your topic and have informative content that will benefit your readers. Are you looking for inspiration? These ten teasers give you more than inspiration, they give you cause to put your plan into action. Get with the program and make money online.

1) It’s easier than you might think.

You buy a domain, you get a hosting site, and you get started. What could be more difficult? It’s easy to pick a niche and find resources and products on the Internet.

2) It doesn’t require a lot of know how or investment.

You can find simple ways to build a website (usually for free with a hosting company). You can obtain a domain name and hosting for a year for about twenty dollars. The rest of your costs depends on what you want to accomplish, and how hard you’re willing to work at it.

3) You can always shift gears and do your next idea.

Depending on the Domain you’ve chosen, you may need to purchase a second domain. Usually the hosting site will allow you to host more than one domain for the same price. Just add a domain.

4) Just because the first idea doesn’t work doesn’t mean the next one won’t.

If you find an idea that doesn’t work at all, you can always smoosh it and start a different one. If your chosen niche works some, but isn’t as profitable if you’d like, keep it and add one more.

5) You can start making money online almost instantly.
